Fota Island located in Cork Harbor is just off the N25 road from Cork to Waterford. The island is host to Ireland's only wildlife park, as well as the historic Fota House with its famous gardens. Located 20 minutes from Cork Airport, our hotel is centrally located for exploring southern Ireland.

We are just north of the historic island of Cobh, which is most famous as the port from which the Titanic set sail in 1912 and visitors today can still visit the Titanic trail and other heritage attractions in the area. Nearby is the celebrated Midleton Distillery, which is now part of the same family of distilleries as the world-renown Jameson Irish Whiskey.

Our hotel is also just nine kilometres from the city of Cork – the 2005 “European Capital of Culture.” Founded over 1,000 years ago by St. Finbarr, Cork has grown from a trading merchant city on the water to the thriving cosmopolitan city it is today. It is home to many galleries, museums, theatres, and artist workshops. Its calendar is filled with annual festivals, from jazz and sailing to film and choral. With many cultural and historic attractions for visitors to trace their Irish roots in, there is also a wide range of restaurants, cafés, and pubs full of friendly locals and visitors alike.

Fota Island is perfectly positioned for discovering Ireland's diverse southwestern region. Visit the nearby Blarney stone, stroll along blue flag beaches warmed by the Gulf Stream, or tour the culinary enclaves of Kinsale and Clonakilty.
