For those interested in the Arts, Cork boasts the a range of theatres including the Opera House, the Everyman and the Firkin Crane, numerous art galleries and the Crawford Museum.

In easy reach by car are the harbour town of Kinsale, renowned for its fine restaurants, historic Youghal and the village of Blarney with its famous Blarney Stone that tradition has it, will bestow the "gift of the gab" on all who kiss it.

The sportsman is well catered for with numerous golf courses all within easy distance, sailing in Kinsale or enjoying a well contested game featuring the hurlers or footballers of Cork or rugby players of Munster.
